THE
STORY:
I heard an American photographer describing the sunlight radiating from behind the clouds as "The God Light" and I immediately understood what he meant. The mystery of the ages is still something that resides in the human spirit. When I researched through my West Australian and New Zealand photo library, numerous images had this theme. As I worked them into a combined piece of art, a story started to merge and so a new poem was born. I wanted to express this moment of contemplation about the questions in the spirit. As a result there was a gratitude I wanted to give back to the divine for His wonder and magnificence that is way beyond my comprehension.
There are 4 images stitched together to highlight the poem. The black back gulls came form a project I photographed numerous years ago. If you want to know why they are so striking with colour send me a text or email and I will post the story.

: Poem typed on an iPhone, photographed with a Canon 5D Mark 1 and edited on a Mac G5 in Photoshop CS4. The photo collage of 4 images from Omaha Beach, New Zealand, Black Back Gulls at Mahurangi West, New Zealand and the clouds courtesy of God somewhere on the planet. Where I do not remember..
