THE STORY:

I had just bought a Canon 7D and was eager to shoot any scene that presented itself on the way home. Bingo!!! Beautiful Auckland from the North Shore after a storm. The wind had ceased, the sun had fled to its hiding place on the other side of the planet and this was the scene that caught my attention. I tried different exposures, lens zoom on long exposures and camera shake for artistic effects. In the end I liked this and wanting to tell a story about the beauty and transient reality of life on earth I purposed to write a poem and play around with some typography.

The image is also available as a photograph with out the poem.

Process : Multiple images photographed with a Canon 7D and colour enhance edited on a 24" iMac with Photoshop CS4. .

Hand signed and numbered (1- 40) by the artist. Printed on 350gsm EPSON PREMIER ART WATER RESISTANT PREMIER SATIN 350gsm with 8 colour EPSON ULTRACHROME K3 Inks, triple coated with PREMIER ART ECO PRINT SHIELD (2 coats front, 1 back).
