IT'S A RICH LIFE - and a happy house will celebrate!

THE
STORY:
I was inspired just by the beauty seen all around us which welled up in my spirit to express gratitude toward the divine for such a marvel. The question was, "How can I capture in symbolism the riches to be grateful for rather than always seeing what we don't have and complaining"? I recalled a story in Fiji when in a village I was told of the symbols in a piece of indigenous art that depicted the life of family togetherness in a village and the happiness lived in sharing together. I chose to use that art and found an image of spring, a loaf of bread and a crystal glass of red wine to symbolize how blessed we really are. I am not unaware, or blind, to the darkness and suffering all around but this thought occurred to me, "If I am not rich in my thinking of gratitude, how can I share with others how to rise above the poverty of thinking negatively to enjoy the riches that are available, whether little or plenty". I can still be rich in praise for the simple things and the bread and wine reflect this.
I am planning to do a painting on the subject as a future project. Time will tell if this inspired thought will flesh out into reality.
