STORY:
This old transparency (slide) was discovered in my library. It was a photo of a New Zealand Tui in a Kowhai tree. The fill in flash over exposed the image but when I looked at it carefully, I thought it had enough merit to become a painting. From that thought came the idea for the proverb and so you have it. A painting is still a strong possibility in a series I would like to do on international birds. As they say “watch this space".
