Looking out of the aircraft window on the way to Fiji caused me to
marvel about many things. The curvature of the earth, the mystery of the heavens, the effect
of the sun on heating the planet and generating life under the clouds - a marvel that even words cannot describe.
I once heard a contemporary photographer describe a sun burst as 'the God light'. I understand his sentiments when I consider that in all of us somewhere is a knowing of something eternal, something greater than now to which philosophers, all religious practices, scientists and even atheists have a hunger for. It is a sense of life to which we all have a view and as an ancient prophet once said 'A knowledge of eternity, without the knowing of the beginning and the end'.
