THE STORY:

What a delight to capture these images.  As with "The Intelligent Observer" and "Thirst and Character 1" I set up a bowl of brown sugared water on my friend Barrie's back verandah which was in the flight path of the Tui's.  I set the camera with a 200mm lens + 1.4 converter and watched the action.  So many photos to choose from, but the intelligence and sharpness of these birds, once they knew the delicacy was for them, gave me inspiration to consider the proverb in relationship to feeding others.

This was after numerous readings from words in the Constitution of Heaven that talks about being diligent in pursuing good dreams, food for the stomach and food for the spirit. To watch this family of Tui (New Zealand native bird) living the dream. I was impressed with their energy, purposefulness and the knowledge to know where good drink is served. What's more, it was free. The only work they had to do was fly to the offering and drink freely. God is like that but to receive from Him knowingly you have to discover where His offering is and believe its free to partake and that is called faith. I like that because I have found God is so likeable, so benevolent, so inspirational. and all for someone so unworthy as myself. He was always there to feed from and I never knew it until someone told me about the nectar in the bowl. I changed my flight path and drunk. One of the Tui family found my offering and led the rest to partake, likewise for me a member of God's family led me to the living water.

This principle is found in all of creation be it feeding on good which gives life or evil which brings death. When an enthusiast discovers something that they find pleasure in they will lead willing partakers to indulge. Note: Not all leaders lead to life!
