THIRST AND CHARACTER - I was thirsty and you gave me food to drink

THE
STORY:
What a delight to capture these images. As with "The Intelligent Observer" I set up a bowl of sugared water on my friend Barrie's back verandah which was in the flight path of the Tui's. I set the camera with a 200mm lens + 1.4 converter and watched the action. So many photos to choose from, but the intelligence and sharpness of these birds, once they knew the delicacy was for them, gave me inspiration to consider the proverb in relationship to feeding others.
Smart, swift, alert, they where primed for action and I had this moment as we eyed each other. They, like me, where probably wondering "What will the next move be?" The inspiration was based on knowing when your 're thirsty and hungry, where do you find food to satisfy your need. It can only be discovered when you know where the food and drink come from. Within the knowledge of feeding and drinking you need to have wisdom to know what to choose rightly so you don't touch what's poisonous, hence intelligence. They did not know how to mix the delicacy like we did. Because I had been instructed and knew what to offer they enjoyed the pleasure freely but they had to discover it was already there. One of their members found it and led the rest to pleasure. Also, being winter with a short food supply of nectar from flowers in bloom made their hunger for a new energy source more intense.
These thoughts came from numerous readings in The Constitution from Heaven that talks about being diligent in persistence, the glory of being, food for the stomach and food for the spirit. Watching this family of Tui (New Zealand native bird) I was impressed with their energy, purposefulness and the knowledge to know where good food is served. What's more it was free. The only work they had to do was listen to the call and fly to the offering to drink freely. God is like that. To receive from Him knowingly you have to discover where the offering is, listen, believe its free to partake of and let your thirst take you to the bowl of living water on offer.
This principle is found in all of creation be it feeding on good which gives life or evil which brings death. When an enthusiast discovers something that they find pleasure in they will lead willing partakers to indulge. Note: Not all leaders lead to life!
