EMBERS OF THE DAY 2 - Preparation for rest and restoration

THE
STORY:
With my new Canon 7D camera, I was inspired to take a late afternoon walk on Omaha Beach, a wonderful North Auckland beach known for its surf breaks, white sands and beautiful views, now part of the fast growing Matakana Coast wine region. On the way to the beach I stopped here at the Omaha Estuary and wherever I look I see exciting images and my dilemma is which one to publish.
It was low tide, so with all my gear in a back pack I ventured through the mangroves. The more I walked the more I realised I was going to experience something special. The
colours were a challenge technically because of the low light conditions, as was working out how best to capture the scene without a tripod. Many frames and the low light conditions created these challenges, especially when
attempting 360 degrees. This one is 180 degrees.
I have also written a poem, yet to be published, about this time of day that many of us miss because of the pace of modern life.
I am considering including this image with the poem.
