T hese works are a reflection of Ian's personal experiences and
he does not wish to offend any person with these, his heart felt convictions.
He only wants to share what he has discovered in his short life and
says it as truthfully and honestly as he can with all the
sincerity and learned integrity he has.
That being said he does know that some of you are going to be offended
at some of the things he says and creates. That is normal. He cannot change
how you react to his works because you have a free will, like him,
and will make up your own mind. He just hopes that you can refrain from
being nasty with any feedback and hopefully learn to enjoy something different from
what you are used to. Maybe even learn something that will help
you make some sense out of this sometimes very cynical, sometimes
very loveless and frightening world where there is life, beauty
and amazing wonders to be discovered amongst all the anger and mockery.
You may not agree with this
but he wishes to credit the much maligned Divine for such an amazing,
"beyond our comprehension," creation in which we live. It is Ian's opinion that there is much to be said about many things but not many people speak openly about the God of Gods, with their fears and struggles to understand why with open, unthreatened discussions. It is like amidst our daily likes and loves we live in a vacuum of secrecy, denial, anger, frustration, prejudice etc and find it hard to be honest about our life and death. Ian is included and expressed in his art poetry, illustration and photography are, the struggles, discoveries and search for more meaning to life than just day to day living.
To learn how to enjoy more fully the gift of life ... with that added extra, a sense of destiny and purpose beyond the ordinary is a goal worth pursuing when it ends up in the affections of Lord of Lords ... and all without fear.
With these thoughts in mind, there is still much to be discovered that can make life worth living. This planet earth ‘The Blue Zone’, our playground as we humans like to imagine it – dear to the very heart of the father of all creation is where we discover all the wonders, some of which Ian would like to share with you.
For instance, when you freeze something, it becomes immobile – it is captured in a state of stillness until an environment, warmer than itself, melts the ice and frees it. Ian imagines an image, captures it, freezing it in time, until the warmth of your imagination sets it free to produce an inspired moment in your life. His purpose is to stimulate your mind so that it follows a pattern of thought inspired by truth and optimism when all else seems hopeless.
Of course, you must be willing to take it on board, but you have free will and can make up your own mind on what you allow to inspire you.
